V Simposio Latinoamericano de Polychaeta - Costa Rica, 2018

Costa Rica es la sede para el V Simposio Latinoamericano de Polychaeta (V SILPOLY) del 17 al 19 de julio de 2018. La Universidad de Costa Rica acogerá este evento, por ser generadora de información de este grupo en la región centroamericana. Así el Centro de Investigaciones en Ciencias del Mar y Limnología (CIMAR) y el Museo de Zoología invitan a todos los investigadores e investigadoras con interés en participar. Si bien el simposio es latinoamericano, pueden presentar trabajos investigadores e investigadoras de otras regiones geográficas que hayan o estén trabajando en el estudio del grupo en Latino América.

El estudio de este grupo está aún en desarrollo en varios países de la zona Latinoamericana, por lo cuál desde 2006 se organizo el primer simposio en Sao Pablo, Brasil (I SILPOLY), en 2009 se organizó por segunda vez en Mar del Plata, Argentina (II SILPOLY), la tercera ocasión fue en Isla Margarita, Venezuela en 2012 (III SILPOLY), y la última edición (IV SILPOLY) se desarrollo en 2015 en Nuevo León, México...
