9th International Temperate Reefs Symposium

We are now inviting oral and poster presentations for the symposium. In addition to open sessions on all aspects of temperate reefs, the following provisional themes are being considered: propagules to production, biodiversity and ecosystem functioning, management and conservation, artificial structures, contribution of reef research to general ecological theory, coldwater coral reefs, deep-sea reefs, macro-ecology and modelling, phylogeography and biogeography.  Subject to demand workshops will be organised on the afternoon of 29th June focussing on current methodological and conservation challenges. Other suggestions are welcomed.
Excursion: We are preparing an excursion for Friday 1st July. This will include: historical shorelines frequented by Darwin and Gosse, boat excursion along the River Dart from Dartmouth to Totnes and hopefully an opportunity to sample local wine (yes we have some!), gin, beer and cheese. Please register for this excursion when you complete you ITRS registration.
